Project Description :
Designed for Mechtex Pvt. Ltd., this 4000sqft office contains a research and development and a working office space. The office sits above a factory area contrasting the industrial with research programs. The proposal offered a sterile working environment for R&D department, accompanied by ergonomically sound furniture. The starkness of white was contrasted with the tinge of brand color. The storage units were designed specially to accommodate files and various equipment that did not have any specific size limits. The drawer system was given away for a sliding mechanism for ease of access. The main conference room was equipped with a custom designed conference table, of metal, stone and wood and a wall panel of concrete and wood finish. A meeting area was made, of aluminium sections with tinted, fluted glass-for meetings with vendors, or teleconferencing- away from strangers/noise intruding into the staff workspace. A stairwell lobby, clad with tiles of two colors, arranged in a barcode fashion lead into a small reception with seating area- to browse at the custom designed poster and product display of Mechtex.
